Helps Customers Accelerate M2M Adoption with Expanded Options for Connectivity.

Axeda Corporation, the leading cloud-based service and software for managing connected products and delivering machine-to-machine applications, today announced five new partner companies have completed Axeda Ready development, testing and certification, which ensures compatibility and ease of deployment with the Axeda Machine Cloud®. This brings the total supported devices to more than 20 from a dozen participating partners.

Axeda Ready partners offer connectivity and sensor options that allow customers to manage and innovate their connected product initiative across a variety of solutions including asset monitoring and tracking, predictive maintenance, compliance management, consumables management, remote service, usage based billing and warranty management.

Bill Zujewski, Axeda’s CMO and executive vice president for product strategy, said:

“Axeda’s strategy is clear – we provide our customers flexible, cost-effective, tested and proven options for connecting, so their time and energies can be focused on innovating around Big Machine Data™ and building M2M applications instead of dealing with the challenges of connectivity.”

“Customers can choose the device that is right for their project knowing the compatibility and quality assurance is backed by the Axeda Ready brand of certification.”

In addition to new devices, Axeda continues to expand options for connectivity between assets and the Axeda Machine Cloud with the addition of more software agents and extended support for more operating systems. Customers can now choose from five new Linux-based Axeda gateway and connector Agents, including four 64 bit OSs — Debian Linux; Novell SUSE Linux; Redhat Enterprise Linux; Cent OS Linux and one agent for 32 bit ARM Linux.

“The Axeda Ready Program is directly addressing the need for reducing M2M application time to market, one of the keys to speeding M2M market growth,” said Robin Duke-Woolley , CEO of leading M2M analyst firm Beecham Research. “The list of new partners just announced shows how broadly Axeda Ready can be applied. The partnership with Raspberry Pi is particularly intriguing, potentially opening up the opportunities of M2M application development to a new mass market.
