DCS Solutions’ Mobile Wireless N-Router to Use Telit 3G Cellular Technology over a Sprint Network

Telit’s DE910-DUAL PCIe data card to carry Wi-Fi Internet traffic over EV-DO mobile broadband network in the DCS-559 mobile router.

Telit Wireless Solutions, a global provider of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions, products and services and DCS Solutions a provider of high-quality wireless data products, solutions, and services to the wireless data market, today announced that DCS is to employ Telit’s DE910-DUAL PCIe CDMA|EV-DO cellular data card for mobile data communications in its DCS-559 Wireless N-Router. With the new router, DCS looks to deliver wireless broadband access over nation-wide 3G networks to users anywhere with minimal setup effort.

The DCS-559 is able to provide highly secure wireless network access for the mobile workforce anytime and anywhere. It is also an ideal solution as a fail-over for corporate wired systems ensuring business continuity during wired-ISP outages. The mobile router is an ideal solution for remote surveillance systems either as the main connectivity provider or as a backup for wired connections. It allows quick configuration of VPN tunnels as well as a redundant internet access path over the cellular network.

The IEEE 802.11b/g/n compliant router supports advanced virtual services, cable/DSL with dynamic and static IP via PPPoE, PPTP, and L2TP connections. It provides comprehensive local or remote management over secure HTTPS in addition to support for Telnet and SNMP, email and remote desktop applications over Telnet, SSH, and FTP. It also supports traffic control, port forwarding, DMZ and its firmware can be updated via Web browser interface.

The DE910-DUAL PCIe, responsible for the DCS-559’s cellular connectivity over a network, is a 3G CDMA|EV-DO data card capable of delivering 3.1 Mbps downlink and 1.8Mbps uplink data speeds. Device designs applying the DE910-DUAL PCIe can be reused easily by replacing the data card with HSPA+ and LTE alternates from the xE910 PCIe family.

DCS-559 cellular router“We built the DCS-559 using today’s most widely accepted, reliable and trustworthy data delivery technology by Telit Wireless Solutions,” said Chris Bursey, Managing Partner, of DCS.

“Big Data management becomes simple, safe and secure with our new mobile router powered by Telit for use on a Sprint network.”

“We are excited to be part of this great product. The DCS-559 is a mobile router platform addressing crucial needs of the mobile workforce and IT managers in the U.S.,” said Mike Ueland, senior vice president and general manager of Telit Wireless Solutions North America.

“DCS Solutions can also benefit from the flexibility of reusing its robust router design as we roll-out the LE910 PCIe, our LTE variant of the data card to the U.S. market, delivering data rates comparable to most wired ISP connections.”
