LE910 Cellular Module Variant Certified for Use on 4G/LTE and HSPA+ Networks.

Telit Wireless Solutions, a leading global provider of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) modules and value-added services, today announced that a multi-mode variant of its LE910 module series has received AT&T certification for use on the carrier’s LTE and HSPA+ wireless networks. The company says that the LE910-NAG quad-band LTE, dual-band WCDMA, dual-band GSM/GPRS is certified and ready to enable Telit customers to deploy a wide range of M2M applications requiring compact dimensions and high-bandwidth, such as mobile computing and video surveillance benefiting from the wide network coverage AT&T offers.

Telit’s LE910-NAG 3GPP Release 9 compliant module is offered in an ultra-compact Land Grid Array (LGA) package measuring 28.2 x 28.2 x 2.04 mm with an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it ideal for mobile computing, video-streaming, security-surveillance and infotainment-telematics applications. Along with high-speed mobile data, LE910 modules feature built-in autonomous GNSS with simultaneous GPS and GLONASS and are ready with Voice over LTE (VoLTE) support for immediate use by applications when AT&T deploys it on the network. Data rates are specified at 100Mbps for download and 50Mbps for upload in LTE mode and 42Mbps for download and 5.75Mbps under HSPA+. The product also includes Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology, an essential feature for data rate and link reliability in modern wireless communication systems like LTE. As with all 3G and 4G xE910 modules, the LE910 also available in a Mini-PCIe data card form factor for off-the shelf use in mobile computing devices like tablets, handheld and laptops computers.

Mike Ueland, President of Telit Americas, said:

“With this certification for use of the LE910-NAG variant on AT&T networks, Telit moves to deliver our North American customers an additional certified module reducing time-to-market and technical risk associated with M2M application design and integration.”

Part of the xE910 form factor family, the LE910-NAG, protects investments in a number of ways, including a no-cost upgrade path for devices already designed for GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSDPA and other 2G or 3G xE910 modules and mini-PCIe data cards.
