SIMCom Wireless Solutions (SIMCom) introduces a cost-effective 3G/HSDPA SIM5320 in the first quarter.
This compact and slim module is in a SMT package with GPS and A-GPS embedded, which supports HSDPA up to 3.6Mbps for downlink data transfer. With the embedded GPS and A-GPS, it can be used in many applications including tracking systems, Telematics, PDA, tablets, and e-book reader etc.
The dimension of SIM5320 is 30x30x2.9 (mm), which is compact enough for saving the weight and space of the customers’ products effectively and is perfect for portable and less-space required layout applications. The SMT package with metal pad surrounded allows the module to be easier to manufacture on the customer’s product line and to be more productive.
The embedded GPS and A-GPS enable SIM5320 to incorporate position location capability for customers’ applications without extra cost, which makes customers’ GPS development much simpler and faster. In addition, it supports the RIL driver of all the embedded OS like WinCE, Android, which makes it easier for develop abundant applications of smart platform.`
Like other SIMCom 3G WCDMA Modules, SIM5320 has strong extension capability with rich interfaces. Besides it has hardware interfaces such as UART, USB, SPI, I2C, PCM and GPIO, it also support many software features, including embedded LUA script, TCP/UDP, FTP/FTPS, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP/POP3 and MMS etc. All these provide much flexibility and ease of integration for customers’ applications.
