Orange Switzerland and Device Cloud Networks enter partnership for global M2M solutions

Device Cloud Networks is launching its state-of-the-art M2M platform in Switzerland using Orange Switzerland’s network.

So now Swiss companies will be able to use this M2M platform to connect their products via a global mobile network and improve their processes and service to clients.

M2M (machine-to-machine) connectivity is increasing rapidly throughout Europe with products ranging from consumer electronics, connected automotive, security, asset monitoring, smart metering and many others. The M2M platform by DCN is a next-generation set of capabilities that combines service provisioning and device management with application enablement tools to simplify the process of bringing wireless connectivity to products of any type.

Through the platform’s combined functionalities, connectivity can be designed into a product or service and embedded at the point of manufacture to create a single product SKU (stock keeping unit) along with the required value-added services and Web based management for global deployment. The reduced complexity, simplified logistics, and highly flexible business processes make the DCN platform an ideal choice for Swiss customers.

We are excited that DCN has chosen Orange as its exclusive mobile network partner for Switzerland,” said Markus Bütler, Vice President Enterprise & Wholesale at Orange Switzerland.
DCN’s customers will benefit greatly from our excellent network, which constitutes the ideal basis for an efficient M2M service.

Roger Dewey, COO at DCN, commented:

“We are proud to work alongside Orange to serve our M2M customers in Switzerland and Europe. Orange is the perfect addition to the growing group of operator
partners working together with DCN to provide global service for M2M.”
