In conjunction with Deutsche Telekom, Cumulocity GmbH presents the integration of Arduino with its M2M Application Cloud.
Bernd Groß, CEO Cumulocity GmbH, said:
“We are very pleased to offer a free version of the Cumulocity Client Library for Arduino including free access to our Cumulocity Application Cloud. This makes Internet of Things (IoT) technology easily accessible for hundred of thousands of innovators and developers. Cloud based mobile IoT applications will drive the next generation of the Internet. We are very proud being at the forefront of this development.”
Developers wanting to not only cloud enable, but also making their Arduino devices mobile, will greatly benefit from this release:
- Using the “Getting Started with Arduino” guide from www.cumulocity.com/guides, developers can bring their Arduino into the cloud in minutes to collect sensor information and remote control their device. With the documented REST API’s, the Arduino can be integrated into Internet services like IFTTT, Twitter, Facebook and others.
- Free Cumulocity Client Library for Arduino. The software can be found from above link. It is made available for free by Cumulocity under MIT open source license. The library is tested with onboard GSM chips as well as with GSM shields.
- Cumulocity offers a free-to-use Public Edition of its M2M Cloud services for Arduino.
Deutsche Telekom will offer in cooperation with Cumulocity an attractive DevStarter Arduino Package. The kit includes an Arduino board with onboard GSM chip, SIM card, DevStarter cloud subscription, an example sensor, necessary cables and power adapter.
