Wyless, the leading global M2M managed services provider, announced today an agreement with Telefonica Digital.
This allows Wyless partners to use the Telefonica Global SIM along with Wyless Managed Services on over 350 networks worldwide and especially focused on the Telefonica on-net networks in Latin America and Europe.
This agreement expands the reach of Wyless’ existing award-winning Porthos M2M platform, which operates in partnership with the world’s largest mobile network operators, to provide secure, reliable wireless connectivity to mobile and fixed devices around the world.
Wyless will now focus on working strategically with Telefonica to offer joint services to ASPs, OEMs and Multinational companies whether they are based in North America or abroad.
Shelby Noakes, VP Business Development, Americas at Wyless, said:
“Telefonica has the kind of Global reach that our partners count on for true global data connectivity. As our partners’ products become more successful, the natural next step is to sell internationally, especially into fast growing markets in Latin America that are craving best-in-class M2M applications.”
“Our long standing partnership with Telefonica in Europe goes back nearly 10 years and has now been extended to a joint proposition in the North American market with this truly innovative program launched by Telefonica Digital. Wyless is proud to have been selected as Telefonica’s first member of the Global Partner Program in North America.”
Dan McDuffie, CEO of Wyless, said:
“The partnership is offering Wyless the opportunity to work together with Telefonica on joint opportunities in a way no carrier has done before, with published global pricing, mobile network operations in 21 countries, and over 350 roaming agreements covering more than 150 countries making this the strongest Global SIM offering in M2M today.”
Wyless offers a comprehensive and cost-effective wireless ‘one-stop shop’ to help our partners develop and deploy applications across a broad range of vertical markets, including transportation, retail, oil and gas, government, financial, healthcare, manufacturing, education and enterprise mobile broadband.
