A clutch of UK M2M companies has formed an association to provide end-to-end solutions for M2M projects on a global basis.
The companies have a vertical industry sector orientation and are already specialists in diverse M2M sectors with knowledge and experience in wireless connectivity, asset management, healthcare, plant and construction, remote monitoring of oil and gas, digital media, smart metering and key elements of smart city infrastructure.
The group claims the global M2M market is expected to grow 26.1 per cent from 2012 to 2017 and be worth $85.96 billion by 2017. They have their eye on large global corporates who need reassurance that complex projects can be completed on time, on budget and to a high standard.
The consolidation of “best in class” M2M businesses from the UK offers customers this turnkey service, they claim.
Nigel Chadwick, Founding Director, M2M Group says:
“Although the group is UK-based our strategy is very much internationally focused. M2M companies from different sectors have often loosely collaborated together in the past but we realised this could be far more effective by combining resources and focusing on international market opportunities. By founding the M2M Group, and bringing a wide scope of proven expertise and services under one roof we can provide global customers with a seamless, high level M2M roll out, from concept through to implementation.”
