Hans Dahlberg, Head of TeliaSonera Global M2M Services, says:

“Tesla’s Model S demonstrates that connected cars provide an improved driving experience and more cost efficient cars by smart maintenance and management of connectivity.”

Tesla Model STeliaSonera’s M2M-services offer Model S customers superior mobile connectivity, putting rich content at the driver’s fingertips through the 17” touchscreen. The digital instrument cluster, steering wheel controls, media, communications, cabin controls and vehicle data is all available through the touchscreen. Connectivity also enables remote vehicle diagnostics to relay information about the car’s safety, security and performance to the driver and Tesla service staff in real time and Tesla service staff is remotely informed about potential issues and part needs ahead of a service visit. The driver is informed through the touchscreen when the car needs service. Maintenance of the Model S is further improved by frequent remote upgrades to the car’s software.
