Mformation’s IMPACT is the only truly horizontal device management platform solution for more complex ecosystems.
Mformation Software Technologies LLC, the leading global provider of mobility management solutions for wirelessly connected devices, announced today the availability of the Intelligent Management Platform for All Connected Things (IMPACT).
IMPACT offers freeform device addressing, management of cellular and non-cellular devices, management for closed area networks and cloud based solutions, and HTTP adaptive layers. True to Mformations heritage as a leader in device management, IMPACT supports OMA standards and LWM2M standards, while also very adaptive to the non-standard devices, protocols, and networks that are so vital to the Internet of Things.
David Shimoni, President of Mformation explained:
“IMPACT is a solution for more complex ecosystems. It is the only truly horizontal device management platform designed to support service models across networks and verticals by integrating with standard and non-standard devices and applications.”
Mformation IMPACT is an extension of the highly scalable, multi-tenanted server software that is already mission critical in the largest wireless networks worldwide and is uniquely architected to manage simple devices to complex machine systems at a control plane level across all standards.
“IMPACT is built with the scalability and stability necessary to simplify management of connected devices across any network and any industry,” says Christine Bolles, VP of Marketing and Product Management. “It enables management of actuators, sensors, and meters as well as the complex machines these modules are found in. Although our heritage is in cellular systems, IMPACT also supports FMC, WiFi, and low power networks like Bluetooth or Zigbee.”
Mformation IMPACT extends control to non-standard devices with using REST APIs to manage technology translations and adapt control to truly non-standard devices through application integration.
“The HTTP Adaptive Layer uses REST APIs to extend functionality to non-standard devices by enabling “plug and play” connection to any application”, says Dr. Rakesh Kushwaha, CTO and Founder.
“The simplicity of the HTTP layer makes M2M management easy for applications like smart meters or mobile health monitoring. Connections can be made to any existing point solutions, and the platform opens up the market for endless innovation.”
