Sagemcom, Founding Member of the LoRa™ Alliance, is Taking Position in the Internet of Things

As end-to-end solutions leading company for multi-energy smart meters, highly experimented actor in design and deployment of telecommunication networks with a strong industrial experience in developing and producing big volumes of communicating terminals, Sagemcom is entering the IoT business and has selected LoRa™ to build its solution.

Sagemcom aims to answer to the increasing needs of the IoT market and especially the unpowered objects which have few information to forward. Sagemcom has decided to develop its solution according to the protocol LoRaWAN of the LoRa™ Alliance (Sagemcom group is a founding member). LoRa™ solution enables connection of millions of objects on open frequency radio networks at optimised cost. LoRa™ technology is very high resistant to noise and is low power optimized.

Sagemcom, historical manufacturer of telecommunication networks, takes a position in the end to end solution for connected objects: from « end-point » or radio module, to networks server and access solutions to applications, including data concentrators or radio gateways. Thanks to its high experience in telecommunications, in end-to-end multi-energy smart metering solutions (either electricity, gas or water meters), and thanks to its industrial experience, Sagemcom is today able to propose all the components for the IoT solutions.
