Arrow Electronics and MultiTech Sign Agreement to Extend M2M Portfolio in EMEA

Combination offers IoT expertise & comprehensive support to OEMs.

Arrow Electronics and Multi-Tech Systems, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of M2M (machine-to-machine) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, have signed an agreement that will bring the companies’ combined expertise and M2M product portfolio to customers across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The combination of technology and skills will help OEMs to accelerate the development and integration of their products with IoT. Arrow and MultiTech have worked closely together in North America for approximately 20 years.

Arrow offers a variety of smart gateway products that enable sensors and other embedded devices to connect to the Internet. These M2M connections are increasingly achieved via wireless technologies. The addition of MultiTech’s range in EMEA increases the breadth of solutions that Arrow can offer and also increases the depth of knowledge and specialist skills in wireless technologies available to customers. MultiTech offers an extensive line of fully certified and carrier-approved external and embedded modems, routers and gateways, and enables cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and other M2M communication solutions.

Duane Wald, vice president of sales at MultiTech, said:
“Arrow’s technology suppliers introduce a perfect complement to our product range. Beyond this, Arrow has a mix of integration facilities, engineering capabilities, value-added services and a logistics network that gives OEMs access to a complete solution.”

“MultiTech has a very strong product portfolio and vast experience in the IoT space,” said Amir Mobayen, vice president and general manager of Arrow’s OEM computing solutions business in EMEA.

“The product range covers end-to-end connectivity from sensor to gateway, the gateway itself, and from gateway to Internet, and is also 100 percent complementary to our existing suppliers. This will enable us to deliver an even more comprehensive set of solutions to our OEM customers.”
