KORE customer and health technology wearable device innovators mCareWatch, are set to launch their latest SOS Mobile Watch edition, as well as a brand new product – the GPS SmartSole – at CeBIT Australia, Sydney Olympic Park May 5 – 7, 2015.
Director of KORE Asia Pacific, Thomas Mooney said mCareWatch are continually evolving and improving their product and the latest edition, has a number of exciting updates and features.
“The new version of the SOS Mobile Watch is not only lighter and contains more data analysis abilities and health features, but also works on the 3G network,” Mr Mooney said. The advantages of this are increased connectivity and higher data transfer speeds.
“Wearable devices and the health industry makes up the fastest growing sector for M2M and the Internet of Things (IoT) for 2015 and it is great to see mCareWatch really forging ahead in this area.”
Managing Director of mCareWatch, Peter Apostolopoulos said the SOS Mobile Watch has undergone a series of improvements in the last two years.
“Initially our focus was to provide an mPERS (mobile personal emergency response system) device for remote caregiving, and now we launch our new 3G device which will expand and enhance our mHealth capabilities connecting to Bluetooth peripheral devices for biometric measurements,” Mr Apostolopoulos said.
“We are also launching another product at CeBIT, called the GPS SmartSole. The GPS enabled device fits easily into the base of a shoe and allows families and carers to monitor the whereabouts of anyone who may suffer from Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism or other cognitive disability.”
“This ergonomic device replaces ‘lock on’ bracelets that can be used to track patients and family members – with text message alerts and GPS location abilities. Using GSM mobile networks and a 2-3 day battery life also means that you can stay connected easily.”
“The SmartSole is another way to manage and monitor health issues easily and discreetly. We’re excited to see the response that this device will receive from the Australian market place.”
