Intuitive application sends alerts via push notification to give customers instant, real-time access to SIM information on the move.
PodsystemM2M, the expert in connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT), has today launched a mobile app for its FreedoM-2-Manage SIM monitoring platform, enabling its customers to manage their SIM base on the move from a mobile device and be alerted when pre-defined limits are hit so they can respond immediately.
The app is currently available for Android devices, with an iPhone compatible version due for release later this year. Features include, an intuitive dashboard showing SIM status and real-time usage at a glance and a push notification function which sends alerts directly to the customer’s cell phone when preconfigured limits have been hit.
A series of actions can be performed via the app, including activating or suspending SIMs, setting limits and alerts, and performing troubleshooting actions such as purging the SIMs from the network to refresh the connection.
Alerts can be configured either via the F2M Platform or via the mobile app, and are triggered, for example, when the SIM has used a predefined amount of data. A notification center allows customers to clearly see a chronological list of alerts so they can track when SIMs have hit limits.
For each SIM, it is possible to view detailed information such as credit limit, credit consumed, and overuse. SIMs can be filtered by status, by bundle and by location making it easy to check the date and time of the last connection and the network the SIM connected to.
Sam Colley, CEO of Podsystem Inc, commented:
“This new mobile app will provide our customers with access to important information about their connectivity- any time and any place- so they can react immediately.”
“We’re constantly looking for ways to give our customers more control and make it as easy as possible for them to manage their connections and their businesses.”
