myDevices’ Cayenne iOS app lets users provision, monitor and control over 90 LoRa-enabled sensors on 10 LoRaWAN™ networks directly from their iPhones.
myDevices, the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions company that “simplifies the connected world,” today announced the launch of the first iOS app to enable developers, system integrators and enterprise customers with the ability to provision, monitor and control LoRa-enabled sensors from their iPhones.
The myDevices’ Cayenne application is an IoT project builder used for prototyping and commercializing IoT solutions, and is now available for download on the App Store.
Cayenne empowers engineers and businesses to rapidly prototype and deploy IoT solutions using Semtech Corporation’s LoRa® devices and wireless RF technology across a wide variety of industries. Cayenne has a growing “drag and drop” library of LoRa-enabled devices from companies such as Abeeway, Adeunis, Alsenz, ATIM, Butano24, Comtac AG, Elsys, éolane, Gemtek, GlobalSat, Herames, Insigma, IMST, Kotahi, Microchip, MultiTech, NKE Watteco, NXP, RAK Wireless, Rising HF, Sagemcom, Semtech, Sensoro, STMicroelectronics, TE Sensor Solutions, Tektelic, YoSmart, and Zenseio.
Long range wide area networks (LoRaWAN) are designed to connect low-cost, battery-operated sensors over long distances in harsh environments that were previously too challenging or cost prohibitive to connect. The Cayenne iOS app and online dashboard also includes native integration with the following LoRaWAN™ networks: Actility, Everynet, Kerlink, Loriot, OribiWise, PixelNetworks, Sagemcom, Senet, Stream Technologies, The Things Network, and X-Telia.
The Cayenne iOS app allows users to build an IoT project with a mix-and-match of different LoRa-enabled sensors (from different manufacturers), then set triggers, SMS alerts, schedule actions, visualize real-time and historical data, incorporate custom widgets, and instantly operate on any supported LoRaWAN networks.
Kevin Bromber, CEO of myDevices, said:
“We invite any LoRa-enabled device manufacturer to register their device into the Cayenne IoT Ready Program™. In return, the device manufacturer can bundle Cayenne for free with their hardware as well as gain access to myDevices’ current community of 210,000 developers.”
