Quectel enters into bilateral collaboration with OnFace

Seoul Korea – OnFace Co, Ltd and Quectel Wireless Solutions, announced today that they have signed a MoU and entered into bilateral collaboration to enhance sales areas of OnFace’s final products and services that have adopted Quectel’s modules including, but not limited to, LTE, Smart Devices, IoT/M2M and 5G technology.

“OnFace is a powerful and well-known company in the Japanese and Korean markets. Quectel has unique value proposition and abilities to accelerate time to market of its customers’ products and services,” said Mr. Norbert Muhrer, Quectel Senior Vice President of Global Sales.

He also added:
“The MoU will intensify our efforts to leverage OnFace’s technical as well as market knowledge to further energize and synergize bilateral cooperation to make big distinction in cutting edge technologies such as 5G and autonomous vehicles in a global scale.”

“We are well positioned to deploy 5G technology to autonomous vehicles in the US, Japan, and China market, as well as other devices including, but not limited to, set-top boxes, mobile phones and obviously M2M/IoT. Previously, OnFace has succeeded in developing VoLTE modem conforming to the 3GPP to replace existing 2G PHS by the LTE modem in Japan,” said Mr. Kyung-Hyun Park, the CEO of OnFace.

He added:

“The two companies will cooperate to jointly tackle lucrative business in the 5G market. Quectel has proven to be a trustworthy partner with best class wireless modules.”
