Quarterwave Ltd, the U.K based specialist of Antennas and RF cabling for M2M and Wireless Telemetry applications announce the improvement to their range of direct connect cellular antennas for M2M applications.
Delta D1 and Delta D2, are end equipment antennas, both capable of operating on the global GSM, GPRS, 3G and European 4G frequencies. An improvement in efficiency to the vertical standing wave ratio (VSWR) characteristics has seen the ratio fall to below the 2:1 measurement. Usually, small, discrete antennas are limited to maximising the VSWR efficiency of a narrower band of frequencies due to the size, however due to a redesigned radiating element, the antenna has extended the targeted 2:1 achievement to include the 2.1GHz plus frequencies also.
Designed to optimise performance on M2M equipment using cellular engines worldwide, operating with a centre frequency on 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz and 2.1GHz, Delta D1 and Delta D2 are available with either straight or right angle SMA connectors respectively, providing good signal coverage and a discrete size, making it useful in a variety of applications such as handheld, industrial and desktop GSM/GPRS/3G or 4G wireless connectivity equipment. Measuring just 55mm height, Delta D1 and Delta D2 are manufactured using flexible, black engineering plastic, giving a robust yet practical antenna solution. The gold plated SMA male connector trend is gaining popularity for clients M2M cellular connector of choice due to its small size and threaded termination giving a rugged and professional looking finish.
