KORE Telematics and ThingWorx Partner to Enable Rapid, Network-Ready M2M Solution Delivery

Integration of ThingWorx and KORE PRiSMPro™ provides instant device connectivity for simplified, faster creation of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things solutions.

ThingWorx™ today announced it has partnered with KORE Telematics, the world’s largest wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, to speed the time-to-market for content-rich M2M and Internet-of-Things solutions. Under terms of the agreement, ThingWorx has certified the KORE PRiSMPro™ device management portal within its ThingWorx Ready™ program, which will in turn bring a fully-connected application development offering to the market which is pre-integrated with M2M data services.

By designing cellular and satellite data services from KORE directly into ThingWorx’s off-the-shelf development platform, the two companies at once accelerate development and reduce the cost of deployment for M2M solutions in many vertical markets including agriculture, public works, utilities, building and construction, healthcare, public safety and fleet telematics.

Alex Brisbourne, President and COO, KORE Telematics, said:

“The innovative ThingWorx Ready program already allows hardware and software companies to pre-integrate their products with rapid application development tools, and to reduce the cost, complexity and risk of these M2M deployments.”

Now, together we are moving one step further to infuse customers’ applications with global, pre-configured network connectivity from the outset of the development process. By combining ‘always on’ connectivity with the rich set of analytics and reporting already present in the ThingWorx toolkit, our two organizations will extend the value of M2M services and remote data collection exponentially.

The new, integrated offering enables customers to:

  • Order and manage SIM inventory;
  • Automatically provision and manage devices;
  • Monitor cellular and satellite data usage;
  • Optimize rate plans in global markets;
  • Access Radius data about device location and last data session;
  • Use advanced troubleshooting tools;
  • Create custom reporting;
  • Manage bills more intelligently; and
  • Take advantage of location-based services.

We are pleased to partner with KORE and to certify its PRiSMPro business management platform as ThingWorx Ready,” said Russ Fadel, CEO and co-founder of ThingWorx. “With the KORE suite of offerings pre-integrated into the ThingWorx platform, we will dramatically reduce the time and risk for companies looking to build and deploy end-to-end M2M and IoT solutions. Reducing time, cost, and risk will accelerate the growth of connected applications moving us more quickly to the step change in efficiency promised by the connected world.

ThingWorx will be demonstrating the combined platform offering at CTIA 2013 in Las Vegas. Please visit the ThingWorx Booth #6240 to view the combined power of the two companies’ integrated platform offering.
