Telit Wireless Solutions, a leading global vendor of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) modules and value-added services and solutions, today announced initiatives to expand its Korean M2M market base. Telit is to continue investing in Korea looking to enhance support for its value chain & ecosystem partners and for local B2B companies in M2M development developing more market success stories.
This year Telit marks ten years of complete focus on M2M. Over this period, the company has continuously worked to solidify its leading position as one of the top three global M2M providers. In these ten years, Telit has also built up its services business. This has allowed the company to maintain an average double-digit growth over ten consecutive years. Telit also works to develop M2M case studies in different industries by encouraging more participation from customers and partners.

With today’s announcement, stakeholders in the Korean M2M value chain can reap benefits in business acceleration from the following programs:
- GPS/GNSS business enhancement: Expand module line-up with chip set partners including CSR, MTK, develop and distribute integrated antenna models meeting rising demand in the Korean market.
- Automotive market focus: Responding to the maturing automotive device market and with increasing demand from connected cars and multi-function black-boxes, the company will look to build partnerships with small and medium solution manufacturers as well as directly engaging with car manufactures.
- LTE acceleration: New LTE module series to be developed exclusively for the Korean automotive and aftermarket segments.
As the Korean M2M market has gotten larger, Telit has strengthened its partnership with telecommunication partners, recently completing inter-operability testing with SK Telecom for its HE910 module series. Ensuring telecommunication performance, stability and module quality excellence, Telit plans to support solution providers using this high-ranking mobile network, helping them complete the involved authentication process, stably entering the M2M market.
Since 2006 when Telit entered the APAC market with the acquisition of a Korean leading module maker, the company has taken a crucial role in the domestic M2M market participating in top projects including the Ministry of Justice’s electronic anklet program, the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s support for single elderly household, and the Meteorological Agency project.
Telit was among the participants recently named for a key Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport project. Telit’s leading module will be used along with sensors to recognize workers‘ locations, routes, and status in underground structures. Telit additionally provides technology to the National Emergency Management Agency to locate firefighters and help them find the right direction to execute rescues and escape more safely.
