New industry-leading capabilities to be previewed during live demonstrations at MWC.
ILS Technology (ILST), a Telit company, today announced the next generation of its popular deviceWISE Application Enablement Platform (AEP), adding upgraded Cloud service capabilities for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications and the Internet of Things (IoT). The new deviceWISE AEP includes a full-range of standardized API’s to send and receive device and machine data stored in the Cloud – simplifying the development of innovative applications and real-time analytics.
The upgraded deviceWISE AEP introduces a ‘data-at-rest’ model with petabyte-scale data storage in the Cloud and TR50 standard compliant APIs to retrieve data via HTTP or MQTT. Other major enhancements include: improved CDP (Connected Device Platform) integration with Jasper Wireless and m2mAIR; a full library of new ‘deviceWISE Open’, open-sourced, APIs (Java and C) for devices and applications and full support of MQTT. Furthermore, end-to-end security, scalability, ease-of-use and remote access support are among the other widely-recognized attributes that continue to differentiate the deviceWISE AEP.
deviceWISE customers can choose to use the new ‘data-at-rest’ Cloud model for creating innovative applications and third party web services or continue to rely on the industry-leading ‘data-in-transit’ model. The new AEP continues to support the existing feature-reach Asset Gateway and Enterprise Gateway technologies, providing direct integration of legacy devices or things with existing enterprise application systems. Most importantly, users can combine both modes to create best-in-class solutions.
Fred Yentz, President and CEO of ILS Technology:
“Our ‘enterprise grade’ AEP offers Application Service Providers and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) a complete end-to-end solution for creating value across any vertical market.”
“The ‘carrier-ready’ deviceWISE AEP targets MNOs that want a scalable turnkey solution for offering innovative revenue-generating M2M services under their own brand, while reducing risk, time-to-market, technical complexity and cost.”
The new deviceWISE AEP sits at the core of the m2mAIR Cloud platform that will be featured on the Telit stand (#5E61) during next week’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona – demonstrating real-time tracking and monitoring of wearable devices using Telit wireless modules (with embedded deviceWISE APIs), m2mAIR connectivity and m2mAIR Cloud services, powered by deviceWISE. Other live demonstrations incorporate ‘deviceWISE Ready’ asset gateways from our product partners to connect and integrate remote sensors with SAP HANA applications and analytics, using the m2mAIR Cloud platform. These examples illustrate how easy it is to deploy end-to-end M2M and IoT services leveraging the ever-expanding deviceWISE ecosystem.
MWC visitors are invited to preview the deviceWISE AEP at the Telit stand (#5E61) in Hall 5.
