Oberthur Technologies (OT), a world leader in digital security solutions for the mobility space, today announced that Device Cloud Networks (DCN) has selected its M-Connect solution to remotely manage the mobile connectivity subscriptions of M2M devices across its mobile network operator alliance in service of its OEM and enterprise customers.
OT’s M-Connect solution has been designed to securely load a subscription in M2M devices over-the-air, not only at the first activation but also during the entire device lifecycle. DCN will integrate M-Connect to its comprehensive M2M service offer to manage global connectivity of M2M devices and will address the need of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), such as car makers or smart meter manufacturers, to efficiently streamline manufacturing, distribution, and device lifecycle management. DCN will commercialize the solution globally this year commencing with North America and Europe.
Marek Juda, Managing Director of the Solutions Business Unit at Oberthur Technologies, said:
“We are really pleased to support DCN in their effort to provide a turnkey solution to connect smart devices to mobile networks that will streamline the worldwide manufacturing and distribution process of OEMs while helping mobile operators better answer their specific connectivity requirements, accelerate time-to-market and get a wider coverage footprint in the M2M ecosystem.”
“We are committed to deliver a next-generation M2M service that encompasses device management, connectivity management, and application enablement. DCN’s M2M solution is coupled with our rapidly growing Global Operator Alliance to accelerate time to market and achieve a wider footprint of coverage. OT’s M-Connect solution will be a critical part of our offer to build the bridge between our mobile operator partners and OEM customers.” said Dave Williams, CEO at Device Cloud Networks.
OT will present its wide range of M2M products at the Mobile World Congress from February 24 to 27, 2014. Come and visit the M Company booth (Hall 6 – 6I28).
