The Smart Home platform grows to over 40 partner companies. New products for saving energy. Deutsche Telekom’s white-label offering facilitates rapid market entry.
More and more companies are betting on the Qivicon Smart Home platform. With its new partners, Smappee, Plugwise, Grünspar, E WIE EINFACH and Stadtwerke Karlsruhe, the open, manufacturer-independent platform now numbers more than 40 partner companies.
Energy-saving made easy
Smappee offers a convenient, easy-to-install home-energy-monitor system that provides a real-time overview of one’s home power consumption. Exploiting the fact that all electrical appliances have unique electrical signatures, the Smappee monitor is able to identify and record the real-time consumption levels of important household appliances. And it outputs its readings, in real time, to an app. “Our energy-management solutions give users truly useful consumption data and thereby help them to achieve real energy savings,” explains Stefan Grosjean, founder of Smappee. “The Qivicon Smart Home platform is the perfect partner for us, both in Germany and internationally. We are delighted to join with Qivicon in moving energy-management technology for the Smart Home forward and making it even easier for users to save energy.”
Plugwise, a Dutch company, also offers products that help save energy. Their products include “Anna,” a smart thermostat that functions as a central control unit in the connected home. “The Anna thermostat from Plugwise is a convenient, easy-to-use control system, in a beautifully designed package, that enhances users’ comfort and energy-saving,” explains Plugwise founder and CEO Norbert Vroege.
The firm of Grünspar supports utilities and telecommunications companies in marketing innovative Smart Home solutions. Grünspar is planning to offer Qivicon based products of participating partners in its online shop.
Smart Home offering
True to its name, “E WIE EINFACH” , a gas and electricity supplier, is developing Smart Home offerings based on the Qivicon platform.
“We at E WIE EINFACH constantly offer our customers new solutions that make life easier and more pleasant,” states Oliver Bolay, managing director of E WIE EINFACH.
“With the Qivicon platform, we are now extending this orientation to all areas of customers’ homes. We now offer a Smart Home solution that is easy to install and requires no structural changes. Qivicon is just the right partner for us on this venture, since it shares with us a central focus on ‘simplicity’.”
Stadtwerke Karlsruhe are also putting together a Smart Home package for their customers. Stadtwerke Karlsruhe, a key energy partner for the city of Karlsruhe and the surrounding region, are moving forward with innovative solutions that promise to enhance consumers’ comfort and convenience. “Qivicon is a strategic partner with an outstanding market position and extensive experience in the Smart Home sector,” notes Michael Homann, chairman of the managing board of Stadtwerke Karlsruhe.
“I’m thus delighted to be working with Qivicon in developing a solution for our customers.”
Deutsche Telekom’s white-label offerings
The solutions being offered by E WIE EINFACH and Stadtwerke Karlsruhe are based on Deutsche Telekom’s white-label complete solution. With its white-label portfolio, Deutsche Telekom offers companies throughout a wide range of different sectors the opportunity to enter the Smart Home market quickly. Participating companies remain completely free and independent in their choice of strategies and policies with regard to products, prices, communications, sales, design, brand presence and cooperation with other Qivicon partners.
