Quectel Wireless Solutions, announced that the company has recently received Deutsche Telekom certification for six modules in its LTE Cat 4, Cat NB1 and 3G portfolio.
These modules are now authorized for deployment in relevant projects for Deutsche Telekom IoT solutions and will provide stable, reliable and cost-effective connectivity.
The six certified modules include LTE Cat 4 EC25-E and 3G UG96 modules, which gained full technical certification and are available for deployment in Deutsche Telekom IoT projects having large volumes. Other modules are LTE Cat NB1 BC95-B8, BC95-B20, BC68, as well as multimode LPWA module BG96, which were granted limited certification.
EC25-E is a variant of Quectel’s LTE Cat 4 series designed for EMEA, Korean, Thailand and Indian markets. The module supports FDD LTE bands of B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20, TDD LTE bands of B38/B40/B41, WCDMA bands of B1/B5/B8, as well as GSM/EDGE B3/B8. It delivers 150Mbit/s downlink and 50Mbit/s uplink data rates and is backward compatible with existing 2G and 3G networks, ensuring that the module can connect even in remote areas devoid of 4G coverage. EC25 is compatible with Quectel 3G UC20 and LTE Cat 1/Cat 3 products and can be used as drop-in replacement, allowing developers to cut costs and development time. EC25 can be applied in IoT segments such as industrial router, industrial PDA, rugged tablet PC, video surveillance and digital signage.
For the NB-IoT modules BC95, BC68 and BG96, they all feature ultra-low power consumption, massive connectivity and cost-effectiveness, and serve as the ideal solution for applications requiring longer battery life and enhanced deep-indoor signal penetration, including smart metering, bike sharing, smart parking, smart city, security and asset tracking, home appliances, agricultural and environmental monitoring,
